We have a new Hitty at our house...well, she is camping at our house for the time being until she chooses her new home and rides off into the sunset in search of new adventures.
All of the Weathertop Hittys are envious because she can turn her head.
After she arrived this morning, she found this wee sailboat and thought it would be fun to sail it on a boat pond.
"Hello, you're new here, aren't you? I am Dauphine. What's your name?" Dauphine said to the newcomer.
"I haven't been given a name yet, but you can call me Sunshine for the time being." Replied New Hitty.
"Hello Sunshine!" Hittys Dauphine and Too said in unison.
Hitty Too saw the boat and thought boating was an excellent idea. She ran to get her sailboat.
"Can I come along? I have always wanted to go boating." Said little blonde haired Lucy.
"Of course!" The girls chimed in. "The more, the merrier."
Lucy very carefully chose her favorite boat and then went to get her friends.
And so it was a very lively party of girls that went out to the boating pond.
New Hitty and Lucy watched as Alice launched one of the boats.
It just happened to be Lucy's favorite boat.
Another boat came along and threatened to swamp Alice's boat.
Watch out!
But it remained steady and sure.
"Look it is sailing down towards us!" New Hitty said with glee.
"I'll send it back down towards you Dauphine!" Called New Hitty.
"Got it!" Dauphine called back.
After they were finished sailing the boats, New Hitty and Lucy went for a short walk in the woods.
"Look at this pretty flower Lucy." New Hitty said.
"Oooooo! It is pretty!" Lucy exclaimed.

I will be listing New Hitty on ebay tonight for a three-day auction.
I worked very hard on this Hitty to make her special and to get her head to move just right. She has a jointed neck which allows her to tilt her head expressively, and look up, down, right and left.
She also has tiny but strong rare earth magnets inserted into the bottoms of her feet so she can bend over and hold a greater variety of poses...so long as she is standing on something metal. I like this new feature so much, all of my new Hittys will have them and I am considering redoing all the floors in my Hitty house so they have metal underneath them. Her shoes are also an ample size, not too big, but big enough to give enough surface area so she can balance a tiny bit better when there is no metal on which to place her. On her feet, she is wearing white socks and high black boots.
She comes very stylishly dressed in this 100% cotton anchor dress made in the faux pinafore style. It is reminiscent of the Real Hitty's trip on the high seas. It is open in the back for easy dressing and snaps closed with two metal snaps. The bodice is fully lined, all of the seams finished and the hem hand-stitched.
She also comes with her very own sailboat to share with her new Hitty sisters.
Underneath her dress, she is wearing a pair of pantalettes made from antique linens.
She is signed on her backside, dated and numbered.
Her hair is carved in the traditional Hitty style and painted black like the original Hitty.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have about New Hitty, either here on my blog or through ebay.
Here is a link to the auction.
I will also be listing two red pinafore dresses and two blue ones, as seen pictured in the story above. All of these dresses will come with their own little sailboat.
Tomorrow evening I will post my sailboat tutorial so you can make some of these cute little boats yourself. So easy, so fun!
This is so cute...love the tutorial, too. Hitty Jean would love a sailboat....we will have to secure some supplies!
Glad to see you have some time for making things again!!!
