Williams College...

After enjoying our visit to The Clark, we took a walk around Williamstown and visited the edge of Williams College. It wasn't an official visit, but we wanted a closer look at some of the buildings. Williams College has a beautiful campus within walking distance of The Clark museum.

The Clark...

Before school started, we took a last minute trip to The Clark museum. They have recently renovated the facility and we have been trying to visit it all summer. We were very favorably impressed with the changes they've made and surprised at how fresh some our old favorite pieces looked in their new settings.

 

They have done a wonderful job incorporating the natural beauty of the countryside around them with the art in the museum itself. The views were breathtaking.

 

 

The Degas statue was so beautifully placed, the ambient light with its subtle blues and greens made her glow.

We went to the museum directly from Judy's soccer practice...needless to say, she was a bit tired.

 

 

 

 

 

The day we visited the museum, the sky was such a deep blue and the clouds were simply beautiful.

Last First Day of School...

Yesterday was the first day of school for Punch and Judy.

There wasn't much time so I had to snap these photos quick.

Last minute primping was definitely in order...

...and a bit of behind the scenes humor.

There was a lot of brotherly love to go around...

 

For some it was merely the first day of high school...

...for others it was the last first day of high school.

In case any of you were worried, I did not cry. These photos were too begrudgingly allowed for any sentimentality or tears.

This last photo was not taken at the house but it doesn't fit anywhere else. It was taken of Punch eating fried soft-shell crab at the Crab Trap. You eat the whole crab.
