As it turns out, my gardening leaves much to be desired. I put in a maximum of effort for a minimum of produce; never-the-less, I think I will try again next year before I give up completely and become a cut flower farmer.
This weekend I started to clean out the garden in preparation for winter and I harvested the last of the produce.
Before you think I pulled them up too early, I should mention that I chose a stubby variety for my six inch deep beds.
I planted these in May...it took all summer for them to grow, probably a waste of gardening space considering my garden is so small.
They went straight from the garden into a pot roast with a slight detour into the sink to wash off the dirt. Fresh roasted carrots! Yum!
And that about wraps it up for the gardening posts this year!
There were a few baby carrots that were donated to the dollhouse; come for a look! Adventures at Weathertop.
