While we were in California, it was imperative that we take a walk on the beach and so we did.
We miss the ocean so...
One of the things I love to document in Bolinas is the changing murals on the walls leading to the beach.
Time washes the old ones away and artist paint new ones. There is something beautiful in the ephemeral quality of these paintings and the determination of man to make his mark.
It is kind of a metaphor for the beach itself, which constantly changes shape and size as the tides ebb and flow and sand washes down the shoreline, but somehow despite time and erosion eternally stays the same.
It is comforting really.
